Mileage setup
To start a shift, WheelWage needs precise location, your phone’s Location switch turned on, and notification permission where Android requires it.
- Open WheelWage and tap Start shift.
- Review the location disclosure and continue.
- Allow precise location and notifications when Android asks.
- Keep the ongoing WheelWage notification visible while tracking.
Offer reading is optional. Mileage tracking works when the offer reader is off.
Optional offer reader
The reader can evaluate visible offers from supported driver apps. WheelWage first presents a prominent disclosure; only after you agree does it send you to Android Accessibility settings.
- In WheelWage, choose Turn on reader.
- Read the in-app disclosure and tap Agree & continue.
- In Android Accessibility settings, choose WheelWage and turn it on.
If you enable the service directly in Android settings without current in-app consent, WheelWage disables the reader before it reads an event or app window. You can leave it off and continue using mileage and records.
Tracking troubleshooting
- Confirm Android granted precise, not approximate, location.
- Turn on the phone’s main Location switch.
- Allow WheelWage notifications so the foreground tracking status remains visible.
- If Android restricts WheelWage in the background, review the app’s battery settings.
- End the shift from WheelWage or the persistent Stop tracking notification.

See the WheelWage beta terms for the current release summary.
Privacy and exports
Work records stay in Android app-private storage unless you choose an export destination. Exact route history is optional and off by default.
Read the full WheelWage Privacy Policy. Privacy and data questions can be sent to support@lakeeffectlogic.com.
Delete your local data
WheelWage does not require a username/password account. To remove locally stored work data:
- End any active shift.
- Open WheelWage → Settings.
- Choose Delete all local work data and confirm.
This removes local trips, mileage logs and route points, offers, expenses, vehicles, odometer readings, retained receipts, local backups, export cache files, learned Spark pickup stores, and saved driver standards. Basic app and privacy preferences remain until you change them or uninstall WheelWage. Previously exported files must be deleted from their destination separately.
Uninstalling WheelWage removes its Android app-private database, files, and preferences, subject to Android’s device behavior.
